Organizing your work
As your library grows, folders, stars, and the dashboard views keep it tidy and easy to navigate.
Folders
Folders group related diagrams together. Create a folder, then move diagrams into it to keep your workspace organized. You can also nest folders inside other folders to build out whatever structure fits your work, such as a folder per project with sub-folders for each area.
- Create a folder, and give it a name.
- Nest a folder inside another folder to build a hierarchy.
- Move a diagram into a folder, between folders, or back out to the top level.
Starring a diagram
Star a diagram to mark it as a favorite. Starred diagrams collect into their own view (see below), so the ones you open most often are always one click away, no matter which folder they live in. Star and unstar a diagram at any time.
Dashboard views
Your dashboard has a set of views that filter what you see. Switch between them to focus on a slice of your library.
| View | Description |
|---|---|
All | Every diagram you own, across all folders. Your default home view. |
Starred | Just the diagrams you have starred, for quick access to your most-used work. |
Shared | Diagrams that other people have shared with you. |
Trash | Diagrams you have deleted. Restore them from here, or leave them to clear out. |
Trash and restoring
Deleting a diagram is a soft delete: it does not disappear right away. Instead, it moves to the Trash view, where it stays out of your way but is not yet gone. If you change your mind, open Trash and restore the diagram to bring it back.
Deleting a folder keeps your diagrams
Deleting a folder does not delete the diagrams inside it. Those diagrams become unfiled: their folder is cleared, but the diagrams themselves stay in your library. You can move them into another folder afterwards.
